Hackney's alternative provisions are looking for Youth Mentors who can build genuine, trusted relationships with young people who have struggled in mainstream education. Working with pupils affected by SEMH, trauma, anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance, you'll support emotional regulation, positive routines and re‑engagement with learning.
This role suits candidates with a background in youth work, mentoring, care or psychology who want real, person‑centred work rather than a classroom‑only role. No teaching qualification required — what matters is your ability to connect with young people who find trust difficult.
£107-£115 per day. Immediate start.
Milk Education is APSCo Compliance+ accredited and committed to safeguarding young people.
