The Role
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities.
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Support children with additional needs where required.
- Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and build pupils' confidence and independence.
- Supervise children during lessons and other school activities.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience working with children in any setting, such as schools, nurseries, sports coaching, tutoring, youth work, holiday clubs or care.
- Is enthusiastic, patient and eager to learn.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Is reliable, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Is considering a long-term career in education.
- A Teaching Assistant qualification is not required
- your attitude, enthusiasm and ability to engage with children are what matter most.
