We're currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Platt Bridge, WN2.

This HLTA role is full-time, and you will be covering across a variety of classes ranging from EYFS through to Year 6.

You will be given a timetable to follow each week, and work will be provided to follow by the class teacher.

This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role.

You'll be joining an inclusive and modern school, focused on ensuring every child achieves their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Covering PPA, teaching the children in each class and ensuring they complete their work to a high standard
  • Guiding children through the curriculum, marking work and setting homework tasks
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Upholding the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong

Requirements or Skills

  • A HLTA qualification (or equivalent Level 4) or a teaching qualification with QTS
  • Recent HLTA or teaching experience in a school or education setting
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Exceptional organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
