Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting a child on a one-to-one basis? Milk Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Whickham, seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support from September.

Role Overview

As a 1:1 Support Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual pupil, providing personalised support to help them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work alongside the class teacher and SEND staff to implement tailored learning strategies and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant with a nurturing approach and experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs.

Essential Criteria

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs (desirable)
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs of the pupil
  • A proactive and positive attitude towards supporting children's learning and wellbeing
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Must live locally to Whickham—no relocation
