We're currently recruiting for a 1:1 Support Assistant to join a Primary School in Wallsend on a long- or short-term basis starting in September.
This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Supporting pupils one‑to‑one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs.
- Deliver personalised interventions and follow EHCP or IEP targets.
- Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development by promoting independence, confidence, and positive relationships.
- Provide individualised support to a specific pupil, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.
Requirements or Skills
- Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
- An enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).
- Patience, empathy, and a caring approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
