Qualified Teacher - Walkden

About Us

Milk Education is more than a supply partner - we're a community for educators. Join us and gain access to training, personal development opportunities, and ongoing support.

We're currently recruiting for Qualified Teachers to work across our partner schools in Walkden on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026.

You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of warm, nurturing and ambitious schools, where pupils are encouraged to feel a strong sense of belonging, develop confidence and become independent, resilient learners. You'll gain valuable experience across different year groups and settings while maintaining the flexibility to choose when and where you work.

The schools we work with place a strong emphasis on positive relationships, high expectations and creating a calm, supportive environment where every pupil can thrive. You'll be joining settings that value collaboration, celebrate their wider community and are committed to helping children reach their full potential academically, socially and personally.

Whether you're looking for flexible supply work, a longer-term opportunity, a new permanent position or simply want to explore different school settings, working as a Qualified Teacher with Milk Education can provide the right opportunities for you.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, purposeful lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and creating a culture of respect and high expectations.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs and wider school staff to support individual pupil needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and contributing to assessment processes.
  • Taking an active role in the wider life of the school and supporting enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Developing positive relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community.
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
