SEND Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Tyldesley (M29) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate temporary SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting September 2026!

This temporary position involves working one-to-one with a Year 2 child with Autism. This SEND Teaching Assistant role will commence September 2026 , and the working hours will be 08:30am-15:30pm.

The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the child's individual learning needs. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil's educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism
  • Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
  • Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
  • Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills li>
