Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Are you a Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or related graduate looking to build a career in educational psychology, occupational therapy, or child development? Do you want to support young people with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop essential life skills? We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist provision in Maidenhead, supporting students with a range of needs including SEMH, autism, developmental trauma, and sensory processing challenges.

About the Role

  • This setting supports young people who have struggled in mainstream education due to:
    • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
    • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    • Sensory processing difficulties
    • Trauma and adverse childhood experiences
    • Emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA)

Your role will focus on supporting students' emotional regulation, sensory needs, and engagement with learning, helping them build confidence and independence in a structured, nurturing environment. You'll work in a small, supportive setting with a strong focus on:

  • Sensory and emotional regulation
  • Relationship building and trust
  • Personalised learning and therapeutic approaches

  • Encouraging engagement in learning and daily routines
  • Working closely with staff, therapists, and external professionals
  • Promoting independence, resilience, and life skills
