Your Main Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across the secondary curriculum where appropriate
- Preparing resources and adapting lessons to meet different learning needs
- Assessing student progress and providing appropriate feedback
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining high expectations
- Supporting pupils to develop their confidence, scientific knowledge and understanding
- Contributing to the wider life of the Science department and school community
Requirements or Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
- Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3/KS4 is desirable
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- A professional and positive classroom presence
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential
- A genuine interest in securing a long-term Science Teacher role in Swinton
