Milk Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sutton who are looking for a dedicated
SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs and helping them access learning within a mainstream classroom environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate in classroom activities.
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and wider learning.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Follow individual support strategies and classroom routines.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Help create a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
About You
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- SEN experience is desirable.
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach.
- Confident supporting pupils with different learning needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about making a positive difference to children's education.
