Milk Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected primary school in St Helens (WA10) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting immediately. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital classroom support to the class teacher, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Your role will involve working with small groups of pupils who require additional academic support, as well as offering one-to-one assistance to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), as needed. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and flexible, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development. You will play an essential role in promoting both the educational progress and emotional well-being of all pupils, working within a caring and structured setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
  • Support small groups of pupils and provide one-to-one assistance when needed
  • Help maintain focus and engagement for pupils throughout the school day
  • Prepare learning materials and assist in delivering educational activities
  • Encourage a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
