Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver individualised speech and language interventions for pupils with a range of communication needs.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, support staff, and families to develop effective communication strategies.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, assessments, and reports where required.
- Support pupils with speech, language, social communication, and interaction difficulties to access learning.
- Provide advice, training, and guidance to school staff to promote effective communication across the school environment.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt intervention programmes to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally within an educational or SEND setting.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and collaborative approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
