We're currently recruiting for the Primary Inclusion Coach to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September. As a Primary Inclusion Coach, you'll support pupils who require additional guidance to access learning, build confidence and thrive within the classroom environment. This role is particularly suited to individuals considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, SEND, speech and language therapy, social work or pastoral support.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Help children overcome barriers to learning and fully engage in school life.
  • Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to support academic progress and personal development.
  • Promote confidence, resilience, independence and positive self-esteem.
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams to implement support strategies.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and communication development.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements

  • Degree obtained within the last five years or relevant experience supporting children and young people.
  • Professional employment references covering the last two years.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's development and inclusion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, positive and resilient approach.
  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Understanding of SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH or Speech and Language needs is advantageous.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
