About Us


We're currently recruiting for a Learning Adventure Mentor to work within welcoming and supportive Primary Schools, starting in September.


This exciting opportunity is perfect for enthusiastic graduates and experienced support staff who are passionate about helping children discover a love for learning. As a Learning Adventure Mentor, you'll support pupils both academically and emotionally, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges and enjoy success throughout their educational journey.


Whether you're an aspiring teacher, educational psychologist, youth worker or simply passionate about making a difference, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within education.


Your Main Responsibilities



  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small group and classroom basis.

  • Help children engage positively with learning and develop confidence in their abilities.

  • Deliver targeted interventions in Reading, Writing and Maths.

  • Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.

  • Encourage curiosity, creativity and a positive attitude towards learning.

  • Build strong relationships that help pupils feel safe, supported and motivated.

  • Support social, emotional and behavioural development.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENDCOs to meet individual pupil needs.

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment.

  • Early Years Childhood Studies

  • Primary Education

  • BA Education

  • MA Education

  • MA Education (SEND and Inclusion)

  • Youth Work

  • Social Work

  • Teaching Assistant roles

  • SEND Support roles


Requirements



  • Degree obtained within the last five years or relevant experience supporting children and young people.

  • Professional employment references covering the last two years.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive, energetic and adaptable approach.

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

  • Understanding of SEND, Autism, ADHD or SEMH is advantageous.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
