Cover Supervisor to work in secondary schools in South Tyneside on a long-term or day-to-day basis , starting in
September .

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of the classroom teacher.
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects at
KS3 and KS4 .
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive, purposeful learning environment.
- Supporting pupils to remain engaged and complete the work set by the class teacher.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, participation, and respect within the classroom.
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement, progress, and behaviour.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff to support continuity of learning.
- Following school behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance policies at all times.
Requirements & Skills
- Experience working with children or young people in a school, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar setting.
- A confident and professional approach with strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly and confidently across different subjects and classrooms.
- A degree or relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
