No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required - just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
The Role:
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 within the classroom.
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation and daily routines.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, sports coaching, youth work, childcare, camps or similar).
- Is enthusiastic, patient and approachable.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is eager to develop a career within education.
- Can adapt to the needs of different learners.
- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Is willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (or already holds one on the Update Service).

- Sports coaching
- Youth work
- Nursery or childcare experience
- Volunteering with children
- Mentoring or tutoring
- Psychology or Education graduates
