About the Role
As a Class Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.
Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Assess, monitor and evaluate pupil progress, using assessment information to inform teaching and raise achievement.
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), disadvantaged pupils and those with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Promote excellent behaviour, positive attitudes to learning and high expectations for all pupils.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies to support pupils' academic, personal and social development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities, clubs, educational visits and school events.
Uphold the Teachers' Standards and actively contribute to the school's ongoing improvement.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Essential
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum for primary education.
Demonstrates consistently high expectations for teaching, learning and behaviour.
Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Can motivate, inspire and engage children to become confident, independent learners.
Is reflective, resilient and committed to continuous professional development.
Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
Experience teaching within EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
Knowledge of effective phonics and early reading practice.
Experience of curriculum development or subject leadership.
