Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)
Salary: Grade 3 (Level 2 Teaching Assistant), dependent on experience and local authority pay scale

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive primary school in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our children by supporting their learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support for pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress.
Assist in preparing and maintaining engaging learning resources and classroom environments.
Support pupils with a range of learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and help promote independence and confidence.
Contribute to the assessment and recording of pupil progress where appropriate.
Support children during breaktimes, educational visits, and school activities as required.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Promote safeguarding, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
Holds a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Has experience of working with primary-aged children.
Has a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
Is patient, nurturing, and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can work effectively as part of a team as well as using their own initiative.
Has good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
