We're currently recruiting Integrated Resource Support staff to work within mainstream primary and secondary schools, supporting pupils with SEND. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities, with day-to-day supply work and longer-term placements available.

We're looking for confident and compassionate individuals with previous experience supporting people with SEND. You'll be working within mainstream school settings, supporting pupils who may require additional support to access learning and fully participate in school life.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing individual and small-group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Supporting pupils to access learning and participate positively in school life
- Working closely with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals to provide consistent support
- Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
- Supporting with behaviour and emotional regulation using appropriate strategies
- Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for pupils
- Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil
- Supporting classroom activities and getting involved wherever additional support is needed
- Following individual support plans, school policies and safeguarding procedures"
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families where appropriate
- Being flexible and willing to support across different areas of the school when required
Requirements or Skills:
- Previous experience working with or supporting people with SEND - essential
- A good understanding of Special Educational Needs and the challenges pupils may face
- Experience supporting pupils within a school, education, care or similar setting
- A flexible, personable and approachable nature
- Someone who is proactive and willing to get stuck in
- The confidence to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Good communication and organisation skills
- The ability to remain calm and consistent when supporting pupils with additional needs
- Team Teach or MAPA training is preferred but not essential
- A professional, reliable and flexible approach to work
- A willingness to complete the required safeguarding and compliance checks
