Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their full potential?
Milk Education is looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistants to join welcoming schools across Middlesbrough and Teesside.
You could be supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups or within a specialist setting, helping children with additional needs to access learning, develop independence and build confidence.
What will you be doing?
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs
- Helping pupils engage with learning and classroom activities
- Supporting emotional regulation, communication and independence
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teachers and wider support staff
- Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a safe, supportive environment
Who are we looking for?
You don't necessarily need to have worked in a school before.
We're keen to hear from people with experience in:
Teaching Assistant / Learning Support roles
Care or support work
Youth work or mentoring
Sports coaching
Nursery or childcare
Community work or volunteering
Supporting individuals with additional needs
Most importantly, you'll be patient, reliable, compassionate and confident in building positive relationships with children and young people.
