We're currently recruiting for a Primary KS1 Teacher to join a school in Salford on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, valued and motivated to learn
  • Differentiating lessons and resources to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND
  • Supporting pupils to develop strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to address learning gaps
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider aims and values of the school
  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence and high expectations throughout the school day

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally within KS1
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective classroom practice
  • Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a supportive school team
