Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual learning and development needs

• Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions

• Taking responsibility for supporting specific learning activities and helping pupils make measurable progress

• Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting resources and activities to meet individual needs

• Delivering targeted catch-up and intervention sessions where required

• Promoting positive behaviour, independence and confidence across the classroom

• Supporting assessment and providing feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress

• Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements or Skills:

• Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Education, Childcare or a related subject

• Recent experience working within a primary school or education setting

• Strong understanding of supporting pupils across the primary curriculum

• Experience supporting SEND pupils or delivering targeted interventions is desirable

• Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

• Confident working independently while also taking direction from the class teacher

• A patient, proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
