Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Engineer to join their Service Department and drive the continued growth of their after‑sales division.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience selling service contracts, maintenance agreements, engineering services or industrial equipment, who enjoys balancing technical knowledge with commercial sales.

The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing new business whilst growing existing customer accounts by promoting preventative maintenance agreements, generator servicing, repairs, breakdown support, spare parts and wider after‑sales solutions.
Working closely with the Service and Operations teams, you'll provide technical solutions, prepare quotations, carry out customer site visits and ensure an exceptional customer experience from enquiry through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Promote preventative maintenance contracts, servicing, repairs and emergency breakdown support.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross‑sell service solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and service agreements.
- Carry out customer site visits to assess equipment and recommend suitable solutions.
- Follow up quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Work closely with Service Engineers and Operations to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
- Support contract renewals and tender opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within Technical Sales, Service Sales, Engineering Sales or Account Management.
- Experience selling maintenance contracts, service agreements or industrial equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building ability.
- Ability to understand technical products and engineering solutions.
- Experience producing quotations and managing customer accounts.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
