Learning Support Assistant for a September 2026 start.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support for students who require additional assistance in the classroom.
You'll help remove barriers to learning, encourage engagement, and support students in developing the confidence and independence they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support across a range of curriculum subjects.
- Support students with additional learning needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and participation during lessons.
- Help students build confidence, resilience, and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to deliver effective support strategies.
- Provide support both inside and outside the classroom where appropriate.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that enable students to thrive.
- What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in education, youth work, care, coaching, or a similar environment.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence supporting students with additional educational or behavioural needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Experience supporting young people with
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Behaviour support and intervention strategies
