About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll take charge of lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged, productive, and focused on their learning. You'll deliver pre-planned work, maintain classroom standards, and help create an environment where students can succeed. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence in a school setting while developing skills that are highly valued within education.
Your Responsibilities
- Supervising whole classes across a range of secondary subjects.
- Delivering lesson activities and instructions set by teaching staff.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom.
- Keeping students focused and engaged throughout lessons.
- Providing support and guidance where required.
- Recording attendance and reporting any issues or concerns.
- Sharing feedback with teachers on student progress and engagement.
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
