Milk Education is recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to work within specialist and mainstream schools across Rochdale. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs, who can create an engaging, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers with a background in SEND, SEMH or complex needs who are looking for a rewarding role where they can make a meaningful difference.
The Role

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs.

Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, PMLD, complex SEND and SEMH.

Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.

Support pupils with emotional regulation, challenging behaviour, anxiety, depression and EBSNA.

Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.

Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents and other professionals.

Promote independence, communication, social development and positive learning outcomes.
What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Previous experience teaching within SEND or SEMH settings.

Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, autism or challenging behaviour.

Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential.
