We're currently recruiting for a Primary Teacher to join a Primary School in Rochdale on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis Starting in September. This role is temporary.

You'll be joining a Welcoming and Supportive Primary School with a strong commitment to helping every pupil flourish. The school values individuality and aims to provide an environment where children feel respected, included and encouraged to reach their potential.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver planned lessons- Follow lesson plans and provide engaging, age-appropriate teaching that supports pupils' learning.
  • Manage classroom behaviour- Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment using the school's behaviour policies.
  • Support pupil progress- Monitor pupils' understanding, provide appropriate support, and adapt activities where necessary.
  • Safeguard pupils- Follow safeguarding procedures, promote pupil wellbeing, and report any concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the school- Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff, follow school policies, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting
  • Strong understanding of the KS1/KS2 national curriculum
  • Excellent communication, classroom management & behaviour management skills
  • Strong competency in adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs
  • Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the supportive school team
