Are you a recent graduate looking to gain meaningful classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or another education-based profession? At Milk Education, we're looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated graduates to join our team as SEND Graduate Teaching Assistants, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in welcoming primary, secondary, and specialist schools across Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference while developing valuable skills and experience in an inclusive educational environment.

The Role

  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and communication needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEND professionals to deliver tailored learning and intervention sessions.
  • Build positive relationships that help pupils develop confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning needs and encourage engagement.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.

We Are Looking For Graduates Who:

  • Hold a degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Criminology, Sociology, Sports Science, Health & Social Care, or another relevant subject.
  • Have experience working or volunteering with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
  • Are patient, resilient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Are considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, therapy, or SEND.
