About the Role:
Milk Education is recruiting a committed English Teacher for a high-achieving secondary school based in Rochdale. As an established English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. Our partner school in Rochdale prides itself on strong literacy initiatives and creative writing programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher seeking a consistent, long-term placement in Rochdale. The school in Rochdale provides structured schemes of work and collaborative planning sessions.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Delivering creative and structured English Language and Literature lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes.

Implementing targeted literacy interventions to raise reading and analytical writing standards.

Marking pupil work consistently in line with departmental assessment policies.

Supporting Year 11 students with GCSE coursework preparation and examination technique.
Requirements or Skills:

UK QTS or relevant recognised secondary teaching qualification.

Specialism in secondary English with experience delivering GCSE curriculum specifications.

Ability to foster analytical thinking, text comprehension, and positive pupil discussion.

Up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or processed through Milk Education).
