Primary Teacher (KS2) - Durham

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Durham and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated KS2 Primary Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

You'll play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils, promote a love of learning, and help every child achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is desirable.
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support pupils of all abilities.
