Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious Cover Supervisor to join a supportive Secondary School local to the school to work on a long-term or short-term basis starting in September! You'll be joining an inclusive, modern school focused on inspiring young minds and promoting equality. This is an exciting role for a new or experienced educator to join a fantastic school as a Cover Supervisor to support pupils in reaching their potential!

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive, focused learning environment when the regular classroom teacher is absent.

Responsibilities
  • Working as a Cover Supervisor to manage classrooms, ensuring pupils remain on-task and engaged with pre-set work.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and implementing the school's behaviour policy consistently.
  • Assisting pupils with any queries they have regarding their work and facilitating learning.
  • Providing constructive feedback to the regular class teacher on pupil progress and classroom behaviour.
Essential Qualifications
  • Must have recent and relevant experience as a Cover Supervisor or working in an education setting supporting secondary-aged pupils.
  • Strong classroom control and the ability to manage behaviour effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional approach.
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of school leadership and follow lesson plans accurately.
