About the Role:
Milk Education is recruiting a creative and organised Art and Design Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in Oldham. This Art and Design Teacher opportunity involves delivering fine art, textiles, and 3D design projects across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school in Oldham provides well-equipped studio spaces, kilns, and modern digital design software. As an Art and Design Teacher, you will inspire students to build comprehensive sketchbooks and prepare high-calibre GCSE portfolios. Secondary schools in Oldham value practical subject delivery that fosters pupil expression and technical skill.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Delivering practical art, illustration, and design lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Guiding GCSE Art students through portfolio building, exam boards, and final exhibitions.

Maintaining studio equipment, art supplies, and health and safety protocols.

Encouraging pupil engagement through creative lunchtime and after-school art clubs.
Requirements or Skills:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) specialising in Art, Fine Art, or Design.

Comprehensive knowledge of GCSE Art and Design assessment objectives.

Proven ability to teach a wide range of media including painting, printmaking, and sculpture.

Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
