Nursery Assistant - Wandsworth
Location: Wandsworth
Pay: £100-£115 per day
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: October 2026
Milk Education are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Wandsworth from October. The successful candidate will support children within the early years setting, helping create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where children can learn and develop.
The Role
- Support children throughout the school day within the nursery setting.
- Assist with engaging play-based learning activities.
- Support children's communication, social and emotional development.
- Help children develop their independence and confidence.
- Assist with classroom routines and preparation of resources.
- Encourage positive behaviour and good learning habits.
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider early years team.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with young children is desirable.
- A genuine passion for early years education.
- Patient, caring and approachable.
- Confident communicating with young children.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, enthusiastic and proactive.
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child development.
