Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, enthusiastic Wrap Around Care Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September 2026. Hours: 7-9 am (leading breakfast club) and 3-6 pm (leading after-school club).
You’ll be joining a modern, inclusive, and supportive school environment that actively champions values such as diversity and equality, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to thrive. What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
- Providing high-quality care and supervision for children during breakfast and/or after-school club sessions.
- Planning and delivering fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities.
- Promoting inclusion and encouraging positive relationships between pupils.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical development through play.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
- Preparing and serving light snacks in line with school policies.
- Working closely with school staff and communicating effectively with parents where appropriate.
- Helping to maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Recent experience working with children in a school, childcare, nursery, or wrap around care setting.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, Playwork, or a related field is essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
