We're currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive Primary School in Nottingham on a long‑term basis starting in September.
You'll be joining an inclusive school committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to achieve their potential.
Working closely with the SENCO and wider staff team, you'll help deliver high-quality teaching for pupils with additional needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and experienced teacher looking to make a lasting impact.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism, ADHD and speech and language needs
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive
- Working closely with teaching assistants, parents and external professionals
- Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews where required
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Adapting teaching strategies to support a wide range of abilities
Requirements or Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND within a primary setting
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, adaptable and nurturing approach
- Passion for helping every child achieve success

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
