Milk Education are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Nottingham for a full-time English Teacher to start in September.

We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can bring English to life.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative department where curiosity, respectful discussion, and academic progress are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encourage respectful discussion, critical thinking, and independent reflection
  • Use assessment data to track progress and adapt teaching to meet learner needs
  • Promote tolerance, cultural awareness, and mutual respect within the classroom
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
  • Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in English, with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Good subject knowledge
  • Ability to facilitate balanced, respectful classroom discussion on sensitive topics
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
