Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated Primary School Learning Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner primary schools in North Tyneside from September 2026.

This varied full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children throughout the school day, both in the classroom and through targeted intervention sessions.

You'll play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence, develop new skills and achieve their learning goals.

The Role

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Deliver planned intervention sessions for individuals and small groups
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
  • Support children with a range of learning abilities and additional needs
  • Encourage independence, participation and positive behaviour
  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

About You

  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting is desirable
  • Patient, reliable and enthusiastic
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Able to adapt to the needs of different learners
  • Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing
