Milk Education are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Durham on a long-term supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or ECT looking for a stable, full-time position within a supportive and ambitious school environment.
The successful candidate will join a well-established Maths department and be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills.
The Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach students across a range of abilities and adapt lessons accordingly.
- Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and progress.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support.
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.
- Inspire students to develop confidence and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Maths Teacher who:
- Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school.
- Has strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
- Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Can engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Is passionate about raising attainment and improving student outcomes.
- Is reliable, adaptable and committed to providing high-quality teaching.
- Works effectively as part of a wider school team.
ECTs are also encouraged to apply, as this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your experience within a supportive secondary setting.
