Autism Support Mentor

We'recurrently hiring for an Autism Support Mentor to join a Primary Schoolbased in North Durham.

You'llbe joininga welcoming school that puts wellbeing and community at thecenterof everything they do.

Main Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils' individual learning needs
  • Fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued, respected, and included
  • Assisting with the delivery of targeted intervention and catch-up sessions to help pupils bridge learning gaps

Requirements or Skills

  • Passion for working with children
  • Understanding of additional needs and how to support them
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar β€” or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred)
