1:1 Classroom Assistant
We are currently hiring for a Classroom Assistant to join a Primary School based in North Durham.
This role is to support Key Stage One and Two children on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing additional support for those who need it.

Main Responsibilities
- Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
- Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
- Inspire children to engage in lessons consistently
- Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies
Requirements or Skills
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting children's learning
- Patience and a calm approach to assisting others
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands‑on experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
