SEND Teaching Assistant - Full-Time | Newcastle
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist SEND school in Newcastle on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a school with a highly therapeutic curriculum, where every aspect of learning is designed to support pupils' emotional wellbeing, communication, independence, and personal development alongside their academic progress.
The school boasts outstanding facilities, including dedicated sensory rooms, calm spaces, and specialist learning environments that help pupils feel safe, regulated, and ready to learn. Pupils also benefit from regular access to the school's Forest School, where outdoor learning encourages confidence, resilience, teamwork, and a connection with nature. For older students, the curriculum places a strong emphasis on life skills, preparing them for adulthood through practical learning such as independent travel, community access, communication, and everyday living skills.

This is a long-term opportunity, with the role envisioned to become permanent following a successful agreed period within the school, offering excellent career stability and progression.
