What You'll Be Doing

As the successful ICT Teacher, you will

  • Deliver engaging ICT and Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Encourage students to develop confidence in areas such as programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, databases, and computer systems.
  • Plan creative lessons that challenge and motivate learners of all abilities.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
  • Create a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn and succeed.
  • Differentiate learning to ensure every pupil can access the curriculum.
  • Work closely with colleagues to contribute to a successful and supportive department.
  • Participate in parents' evenings, departmental meetings, and wider school life.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching ICT and/or Computer Science in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for digital technology.
  • The ability to inspire, challenge, and engage young people.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education.
