Milk Education is seeking caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools in Manchester and Salford .

We are recruiting for a variety of SEN Teaching Assistant opportunities, including full-time, part-time and temporary roles , making this an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants , SEN Teaching Assistants , Learning Support Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Support Workers and graduates looking to build a career in education.

Working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and SEMH needs, you'll play a key role in supporting learning, promoting independence and helping children and young people achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils' social and emotional development
  • Adapt support to meet the individual needs of each learner
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families to support positive outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant , SEN Teaching Assistant , Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker or in a similar role
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND , SEMH , autism, ADHD or additional needs is desirable
  • A patient, caring and adaptable approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications are welcomed but not essential
  • Psychology graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
