Milk Alternative, part of Milk Education, is looking for experienced 1:1 Tutors to support young people across Manchester.
You’ll provide personalised tuition to pupils who may have SEND, SEMH, EBSA or other additional learning needs, helping them build confidence, engagement and make meaningful progress.
The Role
You’ll deliver 1:1 tuition in the pupil's home, school or community setting, depending on their needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils across English, Maths and/or Science.
- Adapt your approach to build confidence and positive relationships.
- Monitor progress against agreed outcomes.
- Provide weekly feedback on engagement and progress.
- Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience as a teacher or tutor, with the ability to plan and deliver your own lessons.
- Experience working with the UK National Curriculum.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths and/or Science.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
- A patient, adaptable approach and confidence building 1:1 relationships.
- Reliable transport and the ability to travel to tuition settings, where required.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
A recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
