This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, build your confidence and develop your teaching practice with the support of experienced school staff and myself throughout your placement.

You'll be working in a welcoming primary school in Manchester that is committed to creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
  • Establish positive classroom routines and expectations
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Assess pupil understanding and adapt teaching accordingly
  • Support pupils' academic and personal development
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work closely with your mentor, class team and wider school staff
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and promote pupil wellbeing
  • Reflect on your practice and respond positively to feedback
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification
  • Currently completing, or recently completed, your Early Career Teacher (ECT) induction
  • Experience working within a primary school or education setting
  • Good understanding of the KS1/KS2 National Curriculum
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic and professional approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
