  • Learning Support Assistants to work across our partner schools in

Manchester on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026 .

You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive schools , gaining experience across different year groups and settings while maintaining the flexibility to choose when and where you work .

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning activities across the curriculum.
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Providing additional support for pupils with SEND and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Helping to create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to develop confidence and independence.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and wider school staff.
  • Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to meet pupils' individual needs.
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.

Requirements or Skills

  • Previous experience working with children or young people within an education, care or similar setting.
  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A flexible, adaptable and reliable approach to working across different school environments.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • Confident supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm learning environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
