Milk Education is seeking confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of welcoming schools in South & Central Manchester from September. We are looking for education professionals who are confident supporting teaching and learning, delivering pre-planned lessons and taking on additional classroom responsibilities.

We have a variety of HLTA opportunities, including long-term, short-term, flexible, full-time, part-time and permanent positions. Whether you're an experienced HLTA, an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant or a PGCE-qualified candidate without QTS, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of school settings, supporting pupils with their learning while working closely with teachers and wider school teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Provide whole-class cover during teacher PPA time and planned absences
  • Deliver targeted interventions and support learning through one-to-one and small-group work
  • Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
  • Help maintain positive behaviour and a productive learning environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working as an HLTA, Level 3 Teaching Assistant or in a similar education role
  • Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting whole-class learning
  • Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A confident, flexible and proactive approach
