Milk Education is seeking confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of primary schools in South Manchester.
We're looking to connect with experienced HLTAs and Teaching Assistants who are ready to take on additional responsibility within the classroom and wider school environment.
We're also happy to hear from candidates who hold a PGCE but do not hold QTS, where their experience and qualifications are suitable for HLTA positions.
Opportunities may include supporting whole classes, delivering interventions, covering lessons and working alongside teachers to provide high-quality support to pupils.
With a range of opportunities available, we're open to speaking with candidates looking for full-time, part-time, temporary, long-term or permanent positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across the classroom
- Lead lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher where appropriate
- Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions
- Support pupils with additional learning needs
- Assist teachers with planning, preparation and assessment
- Provide effective classroom and behaviour support
- Take responsibility for groups of pupils and specific learning activities
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff
- Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence
