We are recruiting for Graduate Teaching Assistants in Chorlton to support secondary schools on both a full-time and part-time basis. This Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity in Didsbury is ideal for aspiring teachers, psychology graduates, youth workers, or graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience.
About the Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Didsbury, you'll support students on a 1:1 basis, within small groups, and across full classroom settings. You'll work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
- Delivering intervention and catch-up sessions
- Providing classroom and pastoral support
- Helping to manage behaviour and engagement within lessons
- Supporting students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs
Graduates with strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science are particularly encouraged to apply, but all subjects are relevant!
What We're Looking For
- A recent university graduate β all degree subjects considered
- Based in or commutable to Didsbury
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude
- Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential
