Milk Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and diverse primary school in East Ham from September 2026 until July 2027 on a temporary agency contract. This Year 1 Teacher role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils through a key stage in their educational journey. The successful Year 1 Teacher will join a supportive team and play a vital role in helping children build upon their Early Years learning as they progress through Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
  • Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and a passion for primary education
  • Be creative, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
